SOCIAL SECURITY LAW: Government Initializes New System to Reduce Social Security Number Fraud

Washington, D.C. – The federal government is set to implement a voluntary identity verification program for American employees. This new system might possibly lessen the number of unaccounted immigrants who uses stolen Social Security numbers to land a job.
The said verification system will be introduced this Monday in the District and five more states including Virginia, Colorado, Idaho, Arizona and Mississippi and will soon to expand to the rest of the country.
Equifax will provide the system to those individuals who will voluntarily verify their identity. After verification, these people will be given access to federal database to verify their employment authorization.
This program will also allow citizens and immigrants to correct errors on their personal data.
