McMahon Says No to Social Security, Medicare Benefits Cuts
Hartford – Linda McMahon, the female Republican Senate bet, assured Connecticut seniors that she would not support Social Security and Medicare benefit reductions for current and future retirees.
She made the statement during the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) telephone forum. McMahon also answered some questions from the members of the organization.
She also denied the accusations of Rep. Chris Murphy, her Democratic opponent.
According to Murphy, McMahon wanted to “sunset” or stop the Social Security program. Murphy likewise alleged that McMahon supports the proposals of the Republicans to privatize Medicare.
The lady solon denied both allegations.
