Social Security Unveils Online Retirement Application

Baltimore, Maryland – The Social Security Administration (SSA) has unveiled the new online retirement application program, with the launching of the Retire Online campaign. The program aims to make retirement application easier for its members.

In a press release from the Social Security website, Commissioner Astrue stated that the new online retirement application could be completed within 15 minutes from the comfort of one’s home or office. It features former actor Patty Duke, who will guide members in the online application.

Through the online filing, there is no need to go to a local Social Security office or wait for an appointment with a Social Security representative.

The Social Security Commissioner disclosed that aside from the new online retirement application, the Social Security also has new Retirement Estimator that acquires the highest rated online service in the government.
